Jim Steinberg

Executive Producer

    Jim has been deeply committed to non-profit theatre for the past 30 years. He has been a Trustee of The Public Theater for the past 12 years, serving on the Executive Committee for his entire tenure and as Treasurer for 6 years. He currently serves as Chair of the Audit Committee. He was also a Trustee of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts for 17 years, and previously on the board of the Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp where he served as Treasurer and later Board Chair and led 2 successful Capital Campaigns. He has been a Director of the Harold & Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust since 1991. Jim received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a masters and doctorate in English with a specialization in modern drama from the University of Oregon. As a professional photographer for more than 43 years Jim’s work has been published in virtually every major magazine and he has won numerous awards for his work including the World Environmental Photography Award, the Colorado Book Award and is the only photographer to win a Foreword National Book Award. He is proud to be one of the Founding Producers of the Colorado New Play Festival.
